Who I am
This site is owned and operated by Maryrose Maguire, psychotherapist (Pre-Accredited Member), Dublin, Ireland. For any privacy question you can reach me at maryrosemaguire@gmail.com.
What I collect
Only what's necessary. If you contact me through the form on this site I'll receive your name, email, optional phone number and whatever you choose to write to me. If you book a session, I'll also keep brief clinical notes, securely, in line with IACP requirements.
This website uses a small number of essential cookies to function and to understand which pages are most useful. No advertising trackers. No selling of data, ever.
How I use it
Your information is used only to respond to your enquiry, deliver therapy if you choose to work with me, and meet my professional and legal obligations. Clinical records are retained for seven years after our work ends, as required by my professional body, and then securely destroyed.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie). To exercise any of these rights, email maryrosemaguire@gmail.com.
Confidentiality
Therapy itself is held in strict confidence within the boundaries of the IACP code of ethics. The only exceptions are the legal limits to confidentiality (risk of serious harm, or where compelled by law), and these are explained in full at our first session.
Changes
If this policy changes meaningfully, the updated date above will reflect that. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
