About Maryrose

I'm Maryrose Maguire, a counsellor, psychotherapist and CBT practitioner based in South Dublin, working with adults in person and online across Ireland. I work with people on anxiety, low mood, grief, trauma, relationships, self-worth and life transitions, and the quiet feeling that something isn't right.

My approach is integrative. I draw on person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment-informed and CBT modalities, and I follow your lead, at your pace. Some clients come for a focused piece of work over several sessions. Others stay longer for deeper exploration. There's no script you need to follow, and no version of yourself you need to bring. More on how I work →

What you can expect is a steady, unhurried space, held with warmth and shaped by what's actually happening in your life. Sessions in South Dublin and online across Ireland, with daytime, evening and weekend slots. Sessions can be audio-first by default if that suits you.

A personal focus within the practice. Alongside my general work, sight loss is an area I'm developing a particular focus in, partly through close personal experience, family members living with sight loss have given me a first-hand understanding of what the textbooks can only describe. Adjusting to Sight Loss, a small CBT-informed group, is something I'm building carefully and in its early days. The established Irish sight loss organisations have been doing extraordinary work in this space for years, and I have great respect for them.
